Technical Data

At VIK we performed meticulous soil, climate, water and temperature studies throughout our land with the aim of making the best wine possible from this magnificent terroir. In order to achieve this, we completed at least 4 core samplings with the objective of mapping the soil and sub-soil of the hacienda.

These results permitted us to determine which rootstocks and varietals were optimal for each area. We then mapped the soil and sub-soil characteristics enabling us to design sector-specific irrigation according to each type of soil.
